Jonathan has been developing a programme idea about a
pre-World War II visit from a Nazi battleship and he has very kindly offered me
a role on the crew as Producer.
I must admit that I do think the project is a little
ambitious; there is talk of a trip to Poland as well as drama reconstruction
and archive footage but I suppose he who dares wins and there is no doubt in my
mind that if Jonathan chooses to take the 10min (masters project) version as a
taster tape to a company like Denhams, TwoFour or even Regional BBC that he
would attract attention.
It’s a great story, brilliant access and Jonathan is turning
out to be a proper bloodhound for sniffing out archive documents and footage!
Also for me it is nice to actually be making a programme about Cornwall for a change, I've steered away from it before for fear of appearing lazy and staying on the front doorstep!
Here is a link to Remember Falmouth which is run by the Royal Cornwall Polytechnic Society which holds lots of lush, 'ye olde worlde', images of Falmouth back in the day!
